Datashift is a fast-growing consultancy team focused on delivering solutions that answer business questions with data and facts. For one of our fastest-growing practices, we are seeking a skilled Azure Data Architect.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer data requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.

  • Design and implement scalable data architectures within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

  • Provide expert advice to customers, ensuring adherence to best practices in Azure.

  • Lead data architecture initiatives and mentor junior data engineers and business stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive data solutions aligned with business objectives.

  • Develop data strategies that support organizational goals and drive innovation.

  • Manage data projects from conception to implementation, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with data governance principles, security protocols and industry standards.

  • Stay updated with the latest developments in Azure technologies and industry trends to enhance data solutions.

Job requirements

Your Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.

  • 6+ years of experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration, with a proven track record of designing and architecting platform components to support specific use cases within Azure ecosystems.

  • Proficiency with data related Azure services such as Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Synapse, Fabric and/or Databricks.

  • Experience with security and network security in Azure.

  • Experience setting up pipelines in Azure DevOps.

  • Understanding of billing methods for Azure resources.

  • Experience writing ETLs using SQL & Python (incl. PySpark).

  • Knowledge and deep understanding of Engineering principles (e.g. ci/cd, unit testing, etc.).

  • Familiarity with data governance capabilities within the Azure ecosystem.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Certified Azure Data Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect Expert

  • Experience in industrializing APIs on Azure, taking into account the associated requirements such as scaling, security, etc.

  • Knowledge of how AI data products can be built within the Azure ecosystem.
