Financial Business Analyst

We are looking for a Business Analyst – Financial services to support our clients in optimizing their data strategies, processes, operating models and implementations. 

Your Responsibilities 

As a Business Analyst – Financial services, you will: 

• Work with banks or insurers to analyze and optimize processes, including payments, lending, core banking or insurance, and regulatory reporting. 

• Define and document business requirements for flagship projects (E.g., related to PSD2, Open Banking, digital payments, IFRS 9/17, Solvency 2, BCBS 239, or core banking/insurance modernization). 

• SQL/reporting, operating models 

• Passion voor data 

• Act as a bridge between business and IT teams, ensuring alignment between strategic goals and technical implementation. 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement operating models, governance, and regulatory compliance. 

• Conduct impact assessments, gap analyses to support transformation initiatives. 

• Assist in risk management and regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with industry standards and frameworks. 

• Stay up to date with banking regulations, industry trends, and emerging technologies to provide strategic insights. 

Your Qualifications 

• Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field. 

• 3 to 6 years of experience in a business analysis, consulting, or transformation role within a bank/insurer or a financial services consulting firm. 

• Strong understanding of banking, payment or insurance processes and digital transformation initiatives. 

• Ability to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements for data-driven solutions. 

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with both business and technical teams. 

• Fluency in English is required; Dutch and/or French is a strong plus.
